Banda Aceh ( NAD )

Banda aceh was as we all know ,heavily damaged by the tsunami. Big parts of the town just disappeared. Since then new houses has been built by different help organization.banda aceh was once a lush town with lots of trees. Unfortunately it will take some time until new trees will shadow the streets of banda aceh.All the mony that has been poured into Acehhave changed the economy.if you have a few left over in Banda Aceh there are a same interesting place to see, for example the Grand mosque(Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman) in the center if the twon and the market behind and next to it.The museum Aceh can also be wort a visit.

Pulau Weh

The most northwestern island of Indonesia offers truly world class diving with clear waters and impressive under water landscapes. Here, where the Andaman Sea meets the Indian Ocean, the deep waters and currents around the island sustain an unbelievable amount and variety of marine life, ranging from tiny critters to grand pelagic's

Pulau Rondo ,has snorking,diving ang fishing .according information no five fishing in world the interesting so pulau rondo is famus in the world.

Just snorkel out to Batee Dua (Two Rocks) and start the deep part of your dive at 30 m and head back to the shallower reef closer to the beach. Look out for the reef sharks, the manta or eagle rays in the blue and the loads of blue-spotted ribbontail rays and blue spotted stingrays. Or make a long shallow beach dive and stay in the bay part of our house reef. Till 14 m you’ll see different hard corals and big waving leather corals. Our 4 local residential hawksbill turtles are found here. The house reef is densely populated by scorpion and lion fishes. Special are the brown and yellow coloured leaf scorpion fishes and the small size bi and even tri-occelated lionfish. Look for frog fishes, see razor fishes, an abundance of butterfly fishes, schools of red tooth triggerfishes and more. The banded sea snake and the look alike snake eel can be studied from close by. Whale sharks have been seen in the months September, October, November while snorkeling and even once during a special nigt dive.

Restorant/Meals
On Gapang there are six restaurants on the beach to choose from. CoCo's, Mama Jungle's, Dat's Zero Cafe, Buchari's Limbo Restaurant, Gapang Jaya restaurant, and Dang Dang Na Restaurant are open for breakfast, lunch and dinners.
There's choice from local Acehnese food, more general Indonesian dishes, tropical fruit salads and some basic Western food such as pancakes, sandwiches, french fries and Kentucky fried chicken for example. Local versions of spaghetti or taco/pastry are
also recommendable. Also it's possible to order other special meals beforehand, such as BBQ Fish. (All fish on Pulau Weh is extremely fresh, so some people really fancy our tuna for making sashimi themselves.)

Achenese "family food" is served in Mama Jungle's restaurant. Also the Warung Walet up the road, close to the resorts serves everyday fresh cheap and very tasty local food: rice, vegetables, fried fish, tempe, delicious fish or chicken curry's and noodles.

Beer and a few kinds of the local Indonesian brands of "firewater" are usually available on the beach.

Brief von Sabine

Heute ist es sehr schoene Wetter in Medan. Gerade bekomme ich Email aus Oesterreicht Sabine. Ich freue mich darauf.
Sabine mit ihren Freund haben groesse Reise/Fernost/Indonesia/Sumatra/Medan gemacht. Ich war der Reiseleiter dabei. Ueber 2 Jahren haben wir gut befreundet. Sie hat mich ihre Freunde Doro und Marchel Bekannt machen. Marchel und Doro haben mich letzten Monat auf Sumatra 6 Tage besucht.
Sehr toll mit ihnen zusammen, zwieschen Asia und Europa besonders Erfahrungen.

Wie geht es dir? Wie geht es deiner Familie?

ja leider schreibe ich erst wieder sehr spät! Ich musste in letzter Zeit viel Arbeiten und ich bin oft zu Hause bei meinen Eltern und helfe im Garten und beim Obst ernten. Bei uns ist jetzt der Sommer da und da bin ich sehr viel in der Natur.

Dieses Wochenende haben mich Doro und Marcel in meiner Heimat besucht. Wir haben viel unternommen. Wir waren auf dem Berg wandern, im Garten grillen und im Wasser Kanu fahren. Wieder ein Abenteuer! :-)
Es war sehr schön und wir hatten sehr schönes Wetter. Habe einen Sonnenbrand :-) aber ist nicht schlimm, geht bald wieder weg.

Orangutan-Bohorok Sumatra

1.Tag Medan- Bohorok
Ankunft im Flughafen Medan Polonia
Nach dem Abfertigung in Flughafen ist die Fahrt nach Bohorok 100Km/za 4 Stunden mit Besichtigung Oelpalmen und Kautschuk Plantagen. Vorher in Medan ist Stadtrundfahrt. Besuch Sultanpalast und gross Moschee. Krokodile farm und Kirche mit tamilen Stiel.
Nachmittag Hotel Rindualam

2.Tag Trecking und Uebernachtung mit Zelt
Trecking im tropischen Wald-Bohorok-Bukit Lawang za 7 Stunden bis zum Zelt. Da leben Orangutan auch viele verschiedene Affenart, Elefanten, Nashornvogel. Wenn wir Glueck oder Pech haben treffen wir mit Sumatra Tiger. (Glueckt von hinten sehen,pech von vorne treffen)
Uebernachtung im tropischen Wald am Fluss mit Zelt.

3.Tag Trecking und Fahrem mit Gummischlauch
Trecking vom Zelt zu anderem Fluss 3 Stunden, dann fahren wir halbe Stunde mit gummi Sclauch im Bohorok Fluss. Zurueckt zum Hotel. Rindu Alam

4.Tag Bohorok-Medan Berastagi .
Die Fahrt za 7 Stunden durch Stadt Medan. Ab Medan ist die serventine Strasse. Viele kleine Laden mit exotischen Fruechte von Sumatra wie: Durian,Ananas,Manggostine usw.Brastagi ist Hochland 2100m ue.d.M

5.Tag Sibayak Vulkan
Trecking zum taetigen Vulkan Sibayak (2.400ue.d.M) za 6 Stunden hin und zueruckt.

6.Tag Berastagi-Parapat-Samosir Insel
Heute ist die Fahrt zur insel Samosir. Unterwegs besichtigen wir Waseerfallsipisopiso noerdlich Tobasee und resteurierte Koenigpalast von Simalungun Batak.
Nachmittag ist die Ueberquerung mit Ferry zur Inselsamosir. Hotel Toledo direckt am Toba See Einchecken.

7.Tag Samosir Tour
Mit dem Auto besuchen wir 3 Toba Batak Doerfer auf Insel Samosir.

Heutige Fahrt ist wuenderschoen durch Bergen und Fluesses. Za 7 stundigen Fahrt mit zwischen Stopp ereeichen wir hochebene Sipirok 2100m ue.d.M

9.Tag Sipirok-Bukittiggi.
Die Fahrt ist weit und lang aber wuenderschoene Reisfeldern, heute ueberqueren wir die Grenzen zwieschen Nordsumatra und Westsumatra Provinz.
Garten mit Pfeffer, Muskartnuss,Zimmt, wenn wir Glueck haben, sehen wir den Bauer mit Affen um Kokosnuss zu fluecken.

Wanderung und Trecking

Tobasee, Brastagi und Bohorok
(6 Tages Programm )

1.Tag Medan – Samosir (A)
Wir holen Ihnen von Flughafen Polonia oder Hotel-Medan ab, danach ist die Fahrt 185 Km richtung Tobasee. Von Stadt Parapat fahren wir mit einheimischen Bott 50 Minuten zur Insel Samosir. Auf der Insel Samosir ist Wanderung zu den Tomok und Ambarita Doerfer.
Hotel einchecken.

2. Tag Samosir – Wanderung (F.A)
Fruehstueckt im Hotel
Vormittag fahren wir mit einheimischem Boot nach Parapat danach ist die Fahrt nach Berastagi. Unterwegs ist der Besichtigung Koenigspalast von Batak-Simalungun, das Dorf-Batak’Karo und Waserfall-Sipisopiso.
Am Abend einchecken im Hotel.

3. Tag Brastagi – Bohorok (F.A)
Morgenfrueh nach dem Fruehstuckt machen wir trecking auf Vulkan Sibayak. Mittag ist die Fahrt durch Medan weiter nach Bohorok, Orangutanrehabilitation Zentrum. Auf de
Hotel einchecken.

4. Tag Dschungel Trecking – Zelt Uebernachtung (F. M. A)
Fruehstueckt im Hotel. Ganztaetige Dschungel-trecking im tropischen Wald.
Eienen Nacht ist die Uebernachtung im Wald mit Zelt. Fruehstuckt,Mittag u.Abendessen im Freiewald. (Hotel mit viel Sterne auf Himmel)

5. Tag Zuerueckt zum Hotel (F.A)
Nach dem Fruehstueckt ist Trecking zum Fluss. Von dem mit Gummischlauch kommen wir ueber dem Fluss zum Hotel zuerueckt. Nachmittag ist Freieprogramm.

6. Bohorok – Medan (F.)
Nah dem Fruehstuckt fahren wir nach Medan zuerueckt. Wir transferieren Sie zum Flueghafen oder Ihre Unterkunft.
